The starting point was a classic ginger biscuit recipe to which we added stemmed ginger for a little extra gingery zing and then we added the chocolate -and not just any chocolate, but a super fine, dark chocolate. And we kept on adding the chocolate. After all, it's not called an ultra thick chocolate biscuit for nothing. Available here in one of our signature, clip top tins.

INGREDIENTS

Dark chocolate coating (67%) (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, anhydrous milk fat, emulsifier: soya lecithin; natural vanilla flavouring), flour (wheat flour, calcium, iron, niacin, thiamine), sugar, partially inverted refiners syrup, stem ginger (4.5%) (ginger, sugar), salted butter (4.5%) (milk), eggs, raising agent: sodium bicarbonate; ground ginger, salt.

Dark chocolate coating contains: cocoa solids 52% minimum.
