Orange & Whipped Cream Hot Chocolate
Decadent hot chocolate made with whole milk, the warming, citrus tang of orange, a generous topping of whipped cream and your choice of topping – this is just what the colder winter evenings is made for. Enjoy with a nice, buttery shortbread and good company.
800ml whole milk
150ml double cream
- 1. Whip the double cream until it forms small peaks and set aside
- 2. Add the chocolate and milk to a pan and heat on a low to medium heat. We recommend using a hand blender to ensure all the ingredients are mixed together, but a hand whisk will suffice
- 3. Once the chocolate is melted and the hot chocolate has reached the desired temperature, pour into 4 mugs and spoon dollops of whipped cream onto the top of each
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or star anise, with small pieces of fudge, marshmallow or orange peel curls and with some of the orange chocolate pearls.
